Open days at Newcastle University

Newcastle University is a Russell Group university that has a world-class reputation for research excellence and academic work. It aims to find solutions to some of society's greatest problems. The university collaborates with governments, industry, the creative and cultural sector, and community groups.  

Newcastle uni has a diverse and exciting range of undergraduate courses, including Music, Medicine, Engineering, and Architecture. It regularly appears in our top ten subject league tables across a diverse range of topics.  

Facilities  

In addition to libraries and sports facilities, the university offers the opportunity for self-study language learning and cross-cultural communication at one of the foremost independent language learning centres in the UK.  

The Hatton gallery, described as 'one of the most impressive exhibition spaces in Britain', is also on campus along with the Great North Museum, where you can explore natural history, archaeology, geology and world cultures.

You can book an open day via the links below or register your interest and the university will let you know when bookings open nearer the time. Attending an open day will help you decide whether it's the right place for you to study. You'll usually be able to attend talks, take a tour, see typical campus accommodation, and talk to students and lecturers. Have some questions ready beforehand so you make the most of this valuable opportunity.  

Where is it located? 

Newcastle University has three campuses, one in Newcastle and the others in Singapore, and Malaysia, offering opportunities to study abroad during your degree. The Newcastle campus is near the city centre and is a short walk from Haymarket bus station and the Monument Metro station.  

Newcastle is an exciting and vibrant city with plenty of cultural events, festivals and nightlife. Major music acts play at the O2 Academy, City Hall and the Utilita Arena Newcastle, which also hosts sports events and comedy shows. 

Newcastle is one of the most affordable student cities to live and is compact enough to be able to walk or cycle pretty much everywhere. There are some lovely green spaces, such as Jesmond Dene and Exhibition Park and the sea is just a short metro ride away.

Newcastle University is a strong consistent performer in our university league tables for the UK. It has scored particularly well on research intensity, along with continuation of study.
