Why go to an open day?
When you attend an open day, you'll get a gut feeling about the university. Open days will help give you clarity if you're not sure what course to choose. You'll be able to visit different departments and chat with lecturers and other department staff, there are often subject talks too. You'll also get to speak to current students. They can tell you whether they're satisfied with the teaching, what the local nightlife is like, what the best halls of residence are – pretty much anything. Don't forget to look at the accommodation for yourself and make time to walk around the surrounding area to see if you like it.
Where is it located?
Bath Spa has three campuses. Locksbrook Campus is just outside the city centre and Newton Park Campus is about four miles from the centre. Corsham Court is home to the Bath School of Art and Design and is approx. 10 miles from Bath. There is a university bus that connects Locksbrook and Newton sites. There are various bus services to get to the Corsham Court site.
Bath is a UNESCO world heritage site famous for its Roman Baths and Georgian architecture. You could feel like you've stepped into a Jane Austin novel or an episode of Bridgerton while promenading around the town.
There are several festivals celebrating film, literature, and music as well as markets including a permanent one at the historic Guildhall and food and vintage markets at Green Park Station. The city is close to beautiful countryside, perfect for walking, running, or cycling.
