Join a diverse and supportive community where lecturers will inspire you with their discoveries and guide you in making your own. Reading’s historic parkland campus offers the spaces and places you need to make the most of your studies and connect with opportunities and people each day. The University of Reading is a research-intensive university. It works with governments, international agencies, businesses, and charities to tackle some of the biggest problems facing the world today, such as climate change, heart disease, and international conflict.

The University of Reading is set in the heart of the Thames Valley economic hub. It’s under 30 minutes by train from London Paddington and under an hour from Gatwick and Heathrow airports. This is a region with numerous career opportunities for students. International organisations based in the area include Microsoft, Oracle, Procter & Gamble and PwC. Added to these are the university's Thames Valley Science Park and a major new film and TV complex, Shinfield Studios. With these great advantages, you will have the opportunity to progress your career, no matter in which industry your ambitions lie.

Reading's main Whiteknights campus is set in 320 acres of stunning parkland. It offers a huge variety of places to eat, shop, practise sports and socialise alongside your studies. The university has seven halls of residence on campus. All are within a 15-minute walk of the campus centre, where you'll find Reading Students' Union. This offers a host of student-led events and nightlife, including 150 clubs and societies, and its nightclub, 3sixty. Students love the regular international street food and farmers' markets, with their vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. The main campus eateries take pride in using fresh ingredients from the university's own farms and other local producers.
