Buckinghamshire New University provides a range of extra financial support for students from particular groups. Thrive Bursary is for students from low-income households, high deprivation areas or low participation areas. Care Leavers Bursary is for students that have been in the care of or accommodated by their local authority. Estranged Student Bursary is for students who classed as an estranged student by their funding body. Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showman, and Boater (GTRSB) Bursary provides extra financial support for relevant students. BNU also provides financial aid: BNU Emergency Fund and BNU Hardship Fund each provide extra support to help students remain in higher education.
