Course summary

This four-year degree will give you the chance to study your subject in true depth, preparing you for an exciting career working with the rapidly changing technology of computing. Our students have a range of programming and mathematical backgrounds, so the course is structured to enable you to achieve the same level of understanding across the fundamental areas of the subject by the end of your first year. We emphasise the importance of practical skills. Our core modules will help you develop the skills essential to a career as a computing professional, while our optional modules will allow you to get to grips with the wide range of questions that arise in both research and industry.
