Course summary
On our challenging and practical accredited BSc (Hons) Computing course youll examine the application of innovative technology to solve commercial and industrial computing problems. Your first year will be spent developing essential skills alongside students on our other Computing degree courses. After that youll get the opportunity to switch to a more specialised course of your choice or carry on, focusing on your choice of two routes from Business, Internet and Cloud, Networking, Security or Software Development. Well give you lots of opportunities to show off your technical skills and gain vital work experience to boost your employability. This course has accreditations leading to MBCS and CITP exemption from The British Computer Society (BCS), The Chartered Institute for IT. All graduates from this course are eligible to become Professional members (MBCS), with no further assessment. A real highlight of the course is our 鈥楥omputing Challenge, an annual competition where youll work as teams to develop a new app and use it in a competitive yet supportive environment.
