About this course
Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at Sussex explores the scientific basis of intelligence in animals and machines. You'll look at:- the fundamentals of computer science- the principles of adaptive behaviour and intelligent systems- applications including robotics and text mining.You鈥檒l study in our Future Technologies Labs, which include a student-focused hub, teaching labs with suites of high-spec computers, and project workspaces.You can shape your degree to suit your interests, specialising either in technology or in cognitive science - the interdisciplinary study of intelligence and mind.
AccreditationAccredited by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional.
LocationStudy on our beautiful, green campus on the edge of the South Downs National Park and just minutes from the vibrant seaside city of Brighton & Hove. We鈥檙e near to Gatwick airport and just over an hour from London.

A level : ABB
You will also need GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics, with at least grade 6 (or grade B).We will also consider applicants with grade 5 in Mathematics if you are taking A-level Computer Science, Chemistry, Maths or Physics.You should also have a broad range of GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C), including good grades in relevant subjects.
