Overview

Our Postgraduate Certificate in Child Protection recognises the continued high-profile of protecting children in Scotland and the importance and value of an integrated approach to recognising and responding to the needs of children and young people.

This programme has been designed to create an opportunity for inter-professional learning for those working in health, police, social work, education, the third sector and other related settings to enhance their knowledge of contemporary child protection theory that informs best practice.

This programme delivers three modules focusing on current policy themes and practice requirements relating to children鈥檚 protection and wellbeing in Scotland:

There will be four compulsory study days for each module, which will consist of a mixture of lectures and seminars thus facilitating integrated multi-disciplinary approaches to child protection teaching and learning.
