This course provides you with a broad base of fundamental chemistry, and the practical skills to begin a rewarding career in science.On this course you will learn the fundamentals of chemistry, the supporting skills and methods for study, and you will have the opportunity to work with a local company. As you progress, you will learn more of the specialist techniques and theories of chemistry, and also build your professional networks. The further you develop, the deeper you will delve into the core of chemistry, and applications in industry and the environment.Our academic staff in the Faculty of Science, Business and Enterprise are from a range of backgrounds, including experienced international researchers, industrialists and educationalists, to ensure your time with us at Chester allows you to make the most of your potential.Working with our industrial partners and the wider community, you will gain relevant commercial experience throughout your studies via our close relationships with commercial partners, and with a fantastic range of facilities you鈥檒l have everything you need to get the most out of your degree.Foundation Year courses have been designed for students who do not have the necessary academic qualifications needed to enter directly into the first year of a degree but who have the ability and commitment to do so. Once the Foundation Year has been completed successfully, you can then go on to complete your degree.
