Hey everyone, my name is Alikee and I'm a Second Year Social and Political Sciences student here at the University of York.

Today I'm going to talk to you a little bit about my story of using Clearing to find York and my perfect course here.

I had initially put another university as my firm choice and another university as my second choice, but when exam results came out, I realised I actually didn't want to go to either of those universities. I felt really stressed because I didn't really know how I was going to find another place to go. 

How did you find Clearing?

Clearing was super easy to go through, I just searched my course in the Clearing website, and I came up with a few different options. I remember clicking on the York course programme and it just being more than I had found anywhere else. I could get in with lower grades than what was initially expected, and it was super easy.

I called them up, I told them my grades, I told them that this was through Clearing, that I hadn't put them as my firm or my insurance and they were so reassuring, they really helped me out and here I am now two years later, on my dream course at my dream university.

What would be your Clearing advice? 

So, I would tell you definitely do not worry if you're thinking of going through Clearing, or you think there's a chance you will go through Clearing. There were so many courses available on the day and therefore there鈥檚 loads of opportunity for you to find your dream course. I hope this was helpful.
