Getting a place at Brighton to study Pharmacy

Why did you go through Clearing?

I鈥檇 missed the UCAS admissions deadline by several months, so Clearing was the only option to try and get a place for September of that same year.

How are you finding uni?

Sixth form was absolutely not for me, I had no idea how to revise, I had no private study space, I was being taught this massive amount of content in a rigid way that just wasn't working for me.

Uni's not like that at all, you have so much freedom to study in a way that suits you, to live in a way that suits you, and there's dedicated spaces and resources for you.

Neither of my parents went to uni, so I had no idea what to expect, but uni was the kickstart I needed and there are learning opportunities everywhere. Pharmacy is a professional degree so there's a clear path into employment at the end which was very high on my list of priorities when choosing a course.

Are you glad that you went through Clearing?

There are so many routes you can take into uni, think of rejection as a path to new opportunities, talk to the University of Brighton about Clearing, it's a good move.
