Find out from different students experience how Goldsmiths made Clearing an easy process.

Shar's Clearing story

Applying to Goldsmiths through Clearing was quite easy. I just submitted an application online. To anybody who's worried about their exam results, I would say, try your best, but also give yourself a break. Not getting the exact grades you wanted does not mean that your life is over.

You still have plenty of opportunities and possibilities available to you. I felt very happy when I got my offer through Goldsmiths. It just made me feel really excited for a new chapter of my life.

And I just thought it was a really nice space to study. I was excited to be part of the community.

Timothy's Clearing story

I applied with one week to go.

I spoke to the module leader and within three or four days I'd already found out that I'd been accepted. Don't panic and don't worry, because I did it in possibly the shortest amount of time possible.

All of my fears were groundless, and when I did start I realised I had incredible support, there was an incredible cohort of students that I could learn from and learn with.

So, my advice would be, apply now.

I was a little bit worried about applying through Clearing as anyone would be, but the people over the phone when I was calling Goldsmiths were very supportive and reassuring.

Your grades don't determine what path you might take.

Clearing for me was not the first option, as it won't be for you.

But because of the grades that I got I ended up here and I鈥檓 very happy here.

Imogen's Clearing story

There were members of staff there to help every step of the way.

Everyone was always open to you emailing them and getting in touch.

It's really easy to get stuck on one target or one grade and make yourself really stressed.

Goldsmiths is really good at taking other factors into account. They could look at a portfolio of work or a letter or speak to you directly rather than just going off grades on a page that you might not be happy with 100%.
