New independent research highlights the 鈥渉idden gem鈥� universities in the East of England

As thousands of students and families prepare for UCAS application deadlines just after Christmas, new independent research released today (Wednesday, 14th December) reveals universities making up 鈥渁reas of excellence鈥� across the country - including two here in the Eastern region.
The team behind the renowned Complete University 大象传媒 have crunched the data to shine a light on some of the universities blazing a trail in the Eastern region, including those ranked best in the UK for some subjects. The message could not be clearer - 鈥測ou don鈥檛 have to go far to go far!鈥�.
With the cost-of-living putting increasing pressure on students and families, the new 鈥渁reas of excellence鈥� data highlights some excellent subjects in the Eastern region and across the UK that they might not have considered.
The 鈥渁reas of excellence鈥� data for the Eastern region reveals:
- Hertfordshire leading the way in the region for Paramedic Science, ranked 5th nationally.
- Childhood and Youth studies continue to be a strong subject for Bedfordshire University with it comfortably being rated in the top 10.
