Course summary
What is Strategy, Enterprise Leadership and Management?
As a research degree candidate, you鈥檒l be supported by a supervisory team with expertise in your subject and/or research approach. A research degree will open the door to work in full-time research or teaching, or provide a greater understanding of professional practice. Postgraduate researchers are able to draw on a wide range of expertise from more than 50 academic staff.
We also provide on-going research support in the form of webinars and seminars, and encourage you to participate at our conferences.
The Business School is a member of the European Doctoral Association in Management and Business Administration (EDAMBA), alongside other internationally recognised doctoral providers. Through this membership, our doctoral researchers join a group of over 125 candidates involved in driving new knowledge and professional practice forward.
Study style
There is a strong applied research focus and particular interests in: enterprise and productivity, and human resources and leadership. We may also be able to offer you effective supervision for cross-disciplinary projects that link to engineering technology, computing, education and health.
We offer a range of further research training events, postgraduate researcher-led seminars, conferences and summer schools, which will continue your training opportunities throughout your programme. You鈥檒l receive updates on opportunities to participate in training offered through other universities and bodies.
You鈥檙e also encouraged to attend national and international academic conferences in the latter stages of your research to present your ideas, and receive feedback at such events.
Careers
Our postgraduate research students cultivate a diverse set of skills that are highly valued in the UK and internationally, preparing them for successful careers within academia and beyond.
As a postgraduate research student at UoG, you鈥檒l develop and refine a range of skills across research, academic practice, project management and critical analysis to equip you for your future. Whether it鈥檚 contributing to ground-breaking academic research or applying problem-solving skills in the workplace, we鈥檒l ensure you鈥檙e ready to take on your next challenge.
