About the course

Begin your journey towards becoming a skilled engineer in robotics and mechatronics 鈥� our emphasis on engineering practices sets you up for success. You鈥檒l engage in exciting topics including mechatronics, autonomous vehicles, embedded systems, robotics and control engineering.During your studies, you鈥檒l:- cover theoretical aspects needed to solve problems in the field of robotics and mechatronics- develop hands-on experience in laboratories on industrial-grade equipment such as a mechatronics platform, mobile robots, industrial robotic manipulators and 3D printers- gain autonomy, and apply the knowledge you鈥檝e gained through individual and interdisciplinary group projects.You鈥檒l work on cutting-edge technologies and real-world challenges, honing your problem-solving skills. This hands-on approach not only empowers you but also equips you with the essential skills for your future career. When you graduate, you鈥檒l be well prepared for a career in robotics and automation engineering with a wide diversity of application sectors including:- space technologies- manufacturing- automotive engineering- transport- IoT (Internet of Things)- communications- aerospace.


MEng or BEng?

We also offer this course with an industrial placement year, as a four-year MEng, or as a five-year MEng with an industrial placement year.

Study on our beautiful, green campus on the edge of the South Downs National Park and just minutes from the vibrant seaside city of Brighton & Hove. We鈥檙e near to Gatwick airport and just over an hour from London.
