Our Psychology degree is designed to provide a critical understanding of how psychology can inform understanding of 21st-century issues, alongside development of strong transferable skills crucial for those wishing to take their knowledge of psychology into work or further learning. The focus upon practical skills development alongside theoretical knowledge development sets it apart from many psychology-related undergraduate coursesThe programme covers all knowledge domains expected of a British Psychological Society accredited course: Social, Developmental, Biological, and Cognitive Psychology; Individual Differences; Research Methods; and Conceptual and Historical Issues. However, we go further with modules designed to provide strong transferable real-world skills alongside theoretical knowledge development.Unique to the programme is a focus on developing students as scientifically literate psychological scientists. Our approach of close-up teaching and learning is one which is often not possible at larger institutions. In your final year you choose from a range of modules to truly tailor your degree.to your areas of interest.
