OVERVIEW

This MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology provides students the opportunity to implement evidence-based practice in the support of people living with long-term health conditions. Clinical Exercise Physiologists specialise in health and fitness screening and assessment, exercise prescription and delivery, and the implementation of behaviour change strategies for the prevention, treatment and management of health conditions.

You will learn how to screen and assess individuals across a spectrum of health and disease, and how to use clinical and scientific reasoning to optimise the delivery of safe and effective exercise-based interventions.

YOUR FUTURE CAREER

The real-world content and professional competencies delivered on this course will ensure successful graduates have the transferable skills to secure employment in a variety of exciting and diverse roles. These could include registered clinical physiologist, chartered scientist, health adviser, clinical exercise specialist, health and wellbeing physiologist, exercise referral coordinator, NHS trainee clinical scientist, PhD researcher or chartered activity and health practitioner.
