Life Sciences at Glasgow

With hands-on experience and flexible degrees, studying at the School of Life Sciences challenges you to apply the theory of the classroom in practical situations, in the lab or the field. We offer an extremely wide range of courses in human and animal biology, biomolecular sciences, infection and immunity.

Our aim is to offer internationally competitive degrees that meet the needs of today鈥檚 science graduates. There are increasing opportunities in the agrochemical, pharmaceutical and fermentation industries, particularly for those graduates with interests in plant molecular biology and biotechnology.

Graduates with ecological interests are increasingly being employed to monitor the environmental aspects of such industries and in conservation work. Other areas of employment include the Scientific Civil Service, government research laboratories and teaching.
