Overview

  • You will be studying within the MRC Centre for Medical Mycology?– a world-leading research centre that is helping to tackle the major global threats to human health caused by fungal diseases
  • The course covers aspects of medical mycology, immunity, the molecular basis of infection, and the genomics of infectious disease
  • You will undertake a substantial (3-6 month) project on fungal pathogen biology or host-pathogen interactions
  • You will undertake a unique three-month research project directly related to the ongoing research in the MRC Centre for Medical Mycology and be supervised by leading experts
  • Graduates of this programme might expect to pursue a career in academic, commercial or clinical research
