Course summary
Our aim is to conduct world-class multidisciplinary research. This research aims to bring together science and clinical disciplines to improve oral health.
Research in the School of Dentistry focuses on:
Dental materials
Links between oral health & Alzheimers disease
Dental public health
As well as core dental sciences:
Implantology
Periodontology
Endodontology
Dental microbiology
Oral surgery
This is complemented by our research work in dental education.
Our researchers and students have access to clinical and research facilities such as biomedical and material laboratories across the University. Our goal is to support our students and researchers to produce world-leading research that leads to improved oral health. We offer alternative start dates for your research degree, commencing in September, January and March for maximum flexibility.
