The popular LLB Law with Business Studies degree, taught in partnership with Birmingham Business School, gives you a thorough grounding in English law and the disciplines and constraints it imposes on business practice, opening up career opportunities across a diverse range of areas.There are close connections between the law and modern business enterprise. Lawyers acting for commercial clients can benefit from an understanding of organisations, their management and the way they structure their activities. People in business can benefit from a concrete knowledge of the law.In each year of this qualifying LLB Law degree course you will study both Law and Business, and the proportion is approximately two-thirds law to one-third business.For almost 100 years Birmingham Law School have made a major contribution to teaching and scholarship, and you鈥檒l learn from prestigious academics who are working at the top of their field influencing law and policy around the world.

Wide-ranging extra-curricular legal opportunities and professional links- Join 1 of 14 Pro Bono Projects offered at Birmingham Law School. Projects range from securing equal access to justice for those facing the death penalty in the United States through Amicus Charity, to informing policy on electric car battery recycling with the Environmental Law Matters research team.
Optional year abroad opportunities- study overseas at a partner institution and experience an incredible new culture, an alternative perspective on Law, and a different academic environment. Undergraduate Law students have had the opportunity to study all over the world in countries including Canada, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, France, Germany and Japan.
Excellent graduate prospects- As the 3rd most targeted University for Graduate Employability in the 2023 High Fliers Report, recent Law graduates have gone on to work for companies including Eversheds, Pinsent Masons, Gowling WLG and HSBC. 89% of our law students are in work or further study 15 months after graduation (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2022).
