Our Japanese Studies (with Foundation Year) can help get you ready for higher education.On our foundation year, you'll learn essential academic skills with a focus on Japan's historical, political and intercultural contexts. You'll be equipped with the tools needed for academic success. No previous knowledge of Japanese is needed.You'll develop your research skills, intercultural communication and global awareness. This not only prepares you for further study, but for a range of careers across the world.After you successfully finish the foundation year, you'll progress onto BA (Hons) Japanese Studies. Here you'll immerse yourself in the study of Japanese language, culture, and society. You'll get a deeper understanding of Japan's role in the global landscape. And you'll have the chance to spend a year abroad in Japan.
