Why this course?
Studying Hospitality & Tourism Management opens doors to the largest and fast-growing sector of the economy.
This degree will prepare you for leadership roles in this dynamic industry which generates 拢5 billion to the Scottish economy and creates one in 10 jobs. Youll have the skills to manage operations and business across a range of industries including hospitality, tourism and events.
In business law, youll study commercial law and business legal regulations. These include company law, competition law and human rights law.
Business law can only be studied as a second subject as a joint Honours option.
Careers
Graduates who specialise in business law develop excellent research and analytical skills. Youll be able to interpret and explain complex information both verbally and in writing and have good commercial awareness. You have the potential to work in government services, commerce and industry, banking and insurance, management and administration.
Some graduates go on to do an accelerated graduate LLB degree.
Graduates who specialise in hospitality and tourism management have a combination of practical and business skills.
Recent graduates have been recruited into the hotel industry and the service sector with job titles such as graduate trainee, manager, restaurant supervisor and trainee accountant.
