Overview

Simulation is an increasingly important area of education and training for health professionals. The advance of technology in recent years enables approaches to learn that were not possible just a few years ago. These courses are aimed at healthcare, public health and medical professionals working in clinical training, education, research or anyone who has a passion and enthusiasm for innovative and exciting health simulation. The aim of these courses is to support you towards becoming a leader in health simulation. This may include social care or non-traditional healthcare professionals.

The key focus of these courses is to enable you to create engaging and inspirational virtual and technology enhanced healthcare simulations for a range of health education environments.

Course information

This course is designed to provide you with an opportunity to enhance your understanding of current and emerging technologies and theories in the field of health simulation as a learning tool. You will explore what it is now possible to achieve through simulation in health education, what is likely to be possible in the near future, and discuss the ethical questions that need to be addressed when utilising health simulation as a learning tool.
