Course summary
The BA degree in Global Events Management is a blended learning degree. Academic modules are delivered online, while the placement modules are available at a range of providers in the UK and abroad. This flexible approach means that the degree can be delivered at any location across the UK and, potentially, internationally.
This degree will provide you with all the skills required to enter the tourism and events industry through studying modules on sustainability, leadership, marketing, hospitality and business management, to name but a few. Throughout your studies you will have the opportunity to engage with experts through guest lectures and industry visits on field trips.

Course Overview
Whilst studying for the BA in Global Events Management you will experience working on placement in a variety of locations and gaining practical experience whilst developing your academic, practical and interpersonal skills. It is this range of skills that will enable you, at the end of your studies, to embark upon a management career in the tourism and events industry.
The School has already a great deal of experience in arranging and handling placements remotely in both the UK and internationally. With a placement coordinator and a Lead tutor for the placement element of programmes within the School.
Assessment
At the commencement of the programme, students will attend a week-long induction where they will receive information about their programme as well as assessment requirements. Coursework (the primary assessment strategy) and practical tasks are set in a variety of formats.
