Course summary
Overview
Our Fixed & Removable Prosthodontics MClinDent is a comprehensive restorative dentistry course focusing on fixed and removable prosthodontics, designed to advance skills in complex multi-disciplinary dental problems. A key feature of this innovative blended learning programme is the face-to-face teaching block which takes place in the first three years. Students can choose to attend this in either London or Dubai, at state-of-the-art clinical training facilities in both locations. An invaluable way to consolidate learning, and network with peers and teachers, you will benefit from between 9-11 days of continuous intensive training and learning in each of years one to three. Designed for working dentists, you will employ the skills learned throughout the course in your own practice. This course is mostly delivered online, so you can study anywhere in the world with minimum disruption to your professional and personal life while benefitting from world-class teaching.
Course detail
This course will develop your clinical skills in restorative dentistry, enabling you to treat the variety of patients that visit your practice. We have designed the course to advance your skills, especially in complex multi-disciplinary dental problems such as tooth wear, complex aesthetics and occlusal problems. Delivered primarily online, the course also provides blocks of intensive teaching and practical training in London or Dubai over the first three years. Our expert tutors will give you guidance on complex dental procedures at specialist teaching centres. When you apply for the course, you will be able to opt to attend either at LonDEC in London or at the 3M Innovation Center in Dubai. Places at both centres are subject to availability and early application is advised to secure your preference. These blocks are an invaluable way to consolidate learning and progress to the final year.
Teaching and assessment
Each module will normally be assessed through a combination of exams and assignments with the exception of the Clinical module which is assessed through portfolios of case work, and the Research module which will be assessed by a dissertation.
