Course summary

Fast-track your move into the financial management sector on our full-time master’s taught by Loughborough’s renowned academics and industry experts.

Successful organisations depend upon effective decision makers equipped with core skills in business, finance and management. Underpinned by the latest research and commercial best practice, this master's will prepare you to apply your skills within the ever-changing nature of today's business environment.

Tailor the programme towards your own career motivations

On this degree, you’ll develop a broad understanding of the field, studying a range of areas including finance, marketing, human resources (HR), accounting and global strategic management. Extend your financial knowledge and skills on focused accounting and finance modules and choose from optional modules to dive deeper into your areas of interest. You’ll explore how organisations operate and the influences of the external environment, such as economic, environmental, ethical, legal, political, sociological and technological factors, along with their effects at local, national and international levels. You’ll also consider how organisations are managed and financially controlled, and how markets operate for different financial products.

Opportunities to develop and practice your professional skills

A consultancy project module during the summer semester gives you the chance to tackle real organisational problems in specific disciplines, as prescribed by 'client' companies, by working in a group and applying the skills you’ve learned during your degree.

Taught by renowned academics and industry professionals, you’ll have access to real-world insights throughout your programme. Plus, you’ll have opportunities to attend extracurricular masterclasses and public lectures exploring a wide range of business-related topics – to broaden your knowledge further.

There’s a strong focus on practical professional skills too, so you’ll graduate prepared to make an impact from the outset of your career.
