Course summary
The MA offers students the opportunity to extend and deepen their understanding of concepts, theories and issues related to international development, education and sustainable ways of promoting health, wellbeing and social justice. The MA Education, Health Promotion and International Development programme offers you the opportunity to extend and deepen your understanding of concepts, theories and issues related to international development, education and sustainable ways of promoting health, wellbeing and social justice. You will explore and critique educational leadership and management theory, research and practice and be encouraged to identify and extend your personal leadership capabilities in the education sector. There is also a close focus on how you can improve the quality of learning and teaching for the student body you will be serving as an educational leader.This masters degree will enable you to:identify key concepts and issues in education, health promotion and international developmentdevelop the knowledge and skills to write project proposals and plans to implement and evaluate health promotion initiativesreflect on research, analysis, policy and practice in relation to education and health promotion in low- and middle-income countriescritically review arguments, advance analysis and undertake research on education, international development and the promotion of health and wellbeing.
