• Together with a grounding in core economics topics, you will study the advanced financial decision making, theory of financial markets, and the practice of risk management, to prepare you for your future career.
• In the degree programme, you will build key communication, leadership and employability skills which will prepare you to enter economic or finance roles and/or undertake further study in the areas of business and finance.

What you will study

On our BSc (Hons) Economics and Finance course, you will study how the business and finance sectors operate, as well as their role in modern economic and financial systems. Upon completion of the programme, you will have developed essential skills and tools to understand and analyse these systems. This course is developed around a framework of core economics and quantitative principles. You’ll learn a strong set of analytical skills that are highly relevant to the world of finance. You will also develop analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as proficiency in quantitative and data analysis. The course will also help you to improve your written and oral presentation skills.

Overall:AAB. If you are taking A-level Maths or A-level Economics we will reduce the offer to ABB. Please note that this grade reduction cannot be combined with other grade reduction schemes. Applicants taking an A level science subject with the Science Practical Endorsement are required to pass the practical element. We do not include General Studies or Critical Thinking in our offers.
