Course summary

Explore the theories behind performance and get to grips with practical performance projects in this Drama degree. Right from the start, you鈥檒l learn everything about theatre through actively making theatre. Every week there鈥檒l be a range of opportunities to develop and hone your skills in whichever areas appeal to you most. Whether you want to be a performer, designer, producer, writer, teacher or creative technician. You鈥檒l be joining a buzzing theatre community in one of the most established Drama departments in the UK.

Our graduates have worked for some of the world鈥檚 most reputable theatres and companies, including the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House, the Royal Court Theatre, and the Bouffes du Nord, in Paris. Many also work in broadcasting, for Sky, Channel 4 and the BBC.Olivier Award-winning playwright James Graham (This House - National Theatre) graduated from Hull in 2003. Others include musical director Martin Loew, theatre director Marianne Elliot, and artistic director of London鈥檚 New Diorama Theatre, David Bryne. 鹿 (Drama) UK domicile full-time first degree leavers; Higher Education Graduate Outcomes statistics, for the academic year 2020/21, published by HESA June 2023.
