Our Creative Writing MA is a well-established course taught by acclaimed professional writers published around the world. You鈥檒l benefit from the input of creative writing fellows and visiting lecturers such as Patience Agbabi, Sally Bayley, and Steven Hall. And you鈥檒l be studying in one of the world鈥檚 great literary cities.

You'll gain a better understanding of your craft and how to apply it to different literary genres and forms. You鈥檒l also meet and pitch your work to top literary agents Felicity Bryan Associates and publisher Philip Gwyn Jones. Whether or not you aspire to get published, we鈥檒l support and encourage you all the way to achieving your full writing potential.

Career prospects

On the MA Creative Writing course, we鈥檝e had a lot of success in producing brilliant writers. However, we鈥檙e not a factory for producing writers. That鈥檚 why many of our graduates take their newly acquired skills to companies and organisations such as the UK Civil Service, Ralph Trustees Ltd, Hestia Charity and the National Trust. Whether it鈥檚 critical thinking, creative problem-solving, or research, you鈥檒l be highly prized in sectors such as:

Students can also exit with Pgdip/PgCert awards.
