Course summary

This degree will ensure that you understand business and how to market goods and services to consumers. You will acquire the skills to become an effective marketing manager and put these into practice through industry aligned projects.Marketing is the cornerstone of successful and sustainable revenue generation in business. You will learn how to develop strategic marketing plans and leverage digital platforms to help organisations succeed.During your first year you will study core modules that will help build the foundation of your knowledge. You will start to build your leadership capabilities and develop an understanding of the global business environment, organisational culture, business growth, enterprise and the digital economy.During your second and final year you will develop your strategic management skills and specialist marketing knowledge. There will be opportunities to work with businesses on strategic initiatives, develop your understanding of people management, financial decision making and sustainable business.Relationships are at the heart of our programme and we will work closely with local businesses to ensure you have up-to-date knowledge and a solid network of professional contacts upon graduation. You will be a part of a community of learners, and academics who all aspire to impact business and help support the vibrant operating environment of Plymouth.
